Danger Of Using Your CellPhone While Charging

Many people are guilty of this! I guess you should stop it after reading this and please tell others about it...

A few days ago, a guy was charging his mobile phone at home. Just at

that time a call came in and he answered it with the charging Instrument still connected to the outlet.

Shortly electricity flowed into the cell phone unrestrained (maybe there was current fluctuation) and the young man was thrown to the floor with a heavy thud. As you can see, the phone actually exploded.

His parents rushed to the room only to find him unconscious, with a weak heartbeat and burnt fingers. He was rushed to the nearby hospital, but was pronounced dead on arrival.

Cell phones are a very useful modern invention. However, we must be aware that it can also be an instrument of death if not handled with care.

Never use the cell phone while it is hooked to the electrical outlet!
If you are charging the cell phone and a call comes in, unplug it from the charger before answering the call.

Niger's Governor Celebrates Birthday On A Private-Jet

Niger state governor, Gov. Mu'azu Babangida Aliyu celebrated his birthday aboard a private jet yesterday. This picture go sack person for work, but definitely not me because i am not employed by the governor. Everyone on aboard that jet must answer query because the picture was taking by one of them. Nigerians are setting new records. Over 65 private jets in Nigeria, but less than 20 commercial aircraft out of which less than 15 are operational to carry 160million Nigerians. You better start making arrangements for your pastor to get one because soon any pastor that does not have one will not be invited to speak where pastors are speaking as the genuineness of his calling will be in doubt because those who are genuinely called must prove it with a jet

Inside Lagos strip clubs •Stripper makes N75,000 per week

A strip or nude club is an adult entertainment venue or a night club where stripteases or other erotic or exotic dances are regularly performed. A strip club is run like a night club or bar, but it can also adopt a theatre or cabaret form.

This club, no doubt is gradually making its way into many towns and cities in Nigeria and with increasing patronage by different sets of people.

Efforts by various governments, especially the Lagos State government to rid towns and cities of these strip clubs have met a brick wall as the operators of such businesses are back with little or no moderation to the usual practice.

The government, while attempting to bring a little sanity to the city’s night life once raided the strip clubs in the Ikeja axis of Lagos State and arrested the strippers. But the operators reacted by charging the government to court.

This incident generated a lot of issues and divided the public who held different opinions on the business.

Investigations carried out recently revealed that the operators of strip clubs are back in business and are carrying out activities there in a manner which obviously gives them an edge over ordinary night clubs in terms of patronage.

Scattered all over Lagos mainland are strip/nude clubs like Cazz bar, Club Unique, Wall Street bar, Cave Exclusive and Ocean Blue.

A visit to the Cazz bar on Opebi road, Ikeja on a Friday night was an experience always fresh in the mind of these reporters.

After paying an entrance fee of N3,000.00 one is entitled to enjoy the ambience where most of the strippers are beautiful white girls ‘imported’ into the country to entertain and meet the audience’s different needs.

The girls who have their bodies scantily covered with g-string pants and bras took a pole-dancing position and when charged, they discarded of the scanty clothings on them and danced naked performing also the lap-dance for any patron who was willing to give them a tip.

Further investigations revealed that there is a VIP section where you pay an entrance fee of N10,000.00 which entitles you to have anything on demand free.

The Cazz bar regulation states that a patron who is willing to go home with one of its strippers will wait till 5:000 a.m (which is the closing time) and pay the management while leaving his phone number and address for security reasons.

At the Cazz Bar it is stated that each of the strippers collects N75,000.00 per week excluding accommodation and feeding.

The practice at the Cave Exclusive in GRA, Ikeja is a little different compared to that of Cazz Bar.

At the Cave Exclusive, the entrance fee is N5,000.00. What makes the operations of Cave Exclusive different from others is that not only that the strippers are scantily clad, the bar attendants who are mostly ladies move around and attend to patrons in their underwears.

altThe environment speaks sex and you won’t fail to catch a glimpse of couples engaged in one sexual act or the other and with no damn given to prying eyes.

One of the attendants who spoke to the reporters claimed she wasn’t initially aware that the rule is that attendants also will work in their underwears. she said she discovered this on her first day at work and that she was planning to quit anytime from now as she wasn’t comfortable with the practice.

On further questioning, she claimed her take-home pay in a month is N25,000.00 and she feels she shouldn’t be subjected to such a treatment for that amount as customers are free to touch and make passes at her, while the management expects her to smile back at them.

The Cave Exclusive which has been running for over three years records a huge patronage on Fridays as fun-seekers throng the hangout to enjoy what they offer.

The operation in other strip bars is not different and it attracts patrons who are willing to part with any amount of money as long as they are satisfied.

Strip and nude bar operation is said to have started in Lagos in the 90’s. Then, some hangouts in Apapa used to bring in ladies who were used in meeting the sexual needs of European sailors who often visited the hangout while on trips to Lagos.

The operation gradually gained ground and has now become fully rooted with quite a large number of nightclubs in existence.

A trip round the city of Lagos revealed that virtually every nook and cranny of this city has this strip and nude club due to the commercial gains derived from them.

Teenagers and young ladies see the club as an avenue to make money not considering the consequences of their action.

It was also gathered that top businessmen and politicians catch fun, but they choose to do that in hangouts that operate strictly by membership.

A strip bar owner in Lagos is said to rake in between N5m and N10m every month depending on the location and patronage.

A usual strip club is open everyday for business, but has Wednesdays and Fridays as its special days.

Many had thought that the Lagos state government would win the battle to curb, if not stop this business, while some opine that it’s a business that has come to stay whether the government likes it or not.

Lagos Woman allegedly boils 2year old stepdaughter’s hands

Though she's claiming the little girl mistakenly put her hands in hot water. Culled from Sunnews Online. See it below...

Residents of Langbasa, a community in Ajah area of Lagos, are
accusing a woman in the neighbourhood of causing a grievous harm on her two-year-old stepdaughter. Kehinde, as she’s known, is in trouble for allegedly dipping the two hands of her little stepdaughter, Esther, into oven-hot water.

The girl’s hands were boiled terribly, and many are raising concern that one of them might have become utterly useless. Esther, it was gathered, lost her own mum about a year ago a few days after her first birthday. The poor little girl has since been living with her father, known among residents of the area as Baba Eleja. Baba Eleja, Esther’s dad, later brought in Kehinde, a mother of three, as his wife. He put Esther in the care of his new wife, Kehinde.

Trouble started for the woman on Wednesday, October 31. She wasn’t feeling good and invited a nurse to prescribe drugs for her. It was the nurse that noticed Esther’s boiled hands. The nurse also realised that the little girl was very unhealthy. She sought to know what was responsible for the little girl’s condition and Kehinde allegedly explained that the girl mistakenly put her hands inside a bucket of hot water in the room. Obviously not satisfied with that explanation, the nurse went to inform Kehinde’s neighbours about the strange development.

Many of the neighbours, who had all along suspected that all was not well with little Esther as Kehinde was always beating her, rushed to the room to see the girl. One of the neighbours, who described himself as her father’s kinsman, spoke to the reporter. His words: “When we saw Esther, lying on the floor with her boiled hands, we were moved to tears. We feared that the poor girl might die any moment from then.

We quickly made efforts to rush her to the hospital for treatment. I don’t think Esther was the one that dipped her own hands in the hot water. In fact, if you see that damage done on those hands, you would know that somebody must have dipped those hands in some boiling water. The hands were boiled to the wrist. Even that poor girl wouldn’t be able to use one of the hands again.” Another resident of the area, a woman, said Kehinde never spared the cane on the little girl.

“She is always beating the girl with canes. You can even see scars of the wounds that her canes inflicted on the girl’s body. Since we noticed what happened to Esther, we have moved her away from the woman. Earlier today, when the girl saw her stepmother, she was so terrified that she cried and ran away. That shows she (Kehinde) has been wicked to her. I advise the relatives of the girl’s mother to take her away from her father so that something more terrible than this doesn’t happen to her,” she told the reporter.

When Daily Sun sought to speak with Kehinde in her husband’s one room apartment in Olugbe compound in the community, her husband as well as some of her relatives wanted to prevent the encounter, saying they didn’t want the family’s dirty linen washed in public. Explanations by the reporter that since the matter had gone to the police, it had already gone beyond their private domain, did little to persuade the angry relatives. In fact, at a point, Baba Eleja got angry and rushed to the nearby Langbasa police post where he reported the “intruding” journalist.

Meanwhile, other relatives as well as the landlord of the apartment granted audience to the reporter and urged Kehinde to grant an interview. In the course of the interview, Baba Eleja suddenly materialised with a policeman in tow, apparently to get the ‘busybody’ arrested. But as soon as the police officer discovered the reporter’s identity, he asked the journalist to continue his job. He advised the enraged husband to cooperate with him. Amidst verbal invectives being hurled at her by neighbours and some relatives, who believed she did dip Esther’s hands into a pot of steaming water, Kehinde told the reporter her story: “It happened a few weeks ago.

That morning, I noticed that Esther was looking very dull. So, I asked her to come to me and I gave her a potty for her to urinate into. I discovered that the urine was black, which showed that she was sick. So, I didn’t allow her to go to school. That day, I was also bleeding because I just had a miscarriage. After a while, I kept a bowl of very hot water that I wanted to use on myself beside our bed and rushed out to the kitchen. Suddenly, I heard Esther’s piercing cry and I rushed back into the room only to see her struggling with the bowl of hot water.

By the time I could rescue her, she already boiled her two hands. I thought she wanted to drink water because she was eating the rice that I cooked for her and my own children before I left the room. I quickly went to borrow N100 from a neighbour with which I bought some balm that I applied on the hands. I also gave her some drugs for her fever and she soon slept off. “When her father returned from work in the night and noticed what happened to her, he beat the hell out of me, in spite of my condition. It took the intervention of our landlord before he left me.

Since then, Esther has been staying with me at home. She has not been going to school and I’ve been doing my best to treat her. “But a few days ago, I invited a nurse, who is also a neighbour to attend to me. As a result of the miscarriage, I have been feeling very weak and I have lost a lot of blood. The nurse came and I was lying on the bed. Esther was resting on a mattress close to the bed.

The nurse came to attend to me but when she saw Esther, she looked worried and asked what happened to her. When I explained, she asked why we didn’t take her to hospital yet and I said I didn’t have the money and that I was expecting that Esther’s father would do that. “The nurse promptly attended to me and hurriedly left after examining Esther’s boiled hands for two or three times. It wasn’t long after she left that a crowd of neighbours broke into our room to see Esther.

They soon pounced on me and started beating me. It took the intervention of policemen, who were invited by some of them, to rescue me from the mob. I would have been lynched. They thought that I deliberately dipped her hands into boiling water. I didn’t do that at all. I have always been taking care of Esther as if I were her mother. Even people call me Mama Esther because of the way I treat her. I couldn’t have done such a terrible thing to her.”

Nigerian Girls Invent Urine-powered Generator

Possibly one of the more unexpected products at Maker Faire Africa this year in Lagos is a urine powered generator, created by four girls. The girls are Duro-Aina Adebola (14), Akindele Abiola
(14), Faleke Oluwatoyin (14) and Bello Eniola (15).

The generator is on display at an exhibition in Lagos Nigeria where people from the tiniest villages to those from big cities are talking about making stuff. This is part of an initiative by ‘Maker Faire Movement’ which seeks to showcase how traditional handicrafts can be a solution in the wake of expensive robot.

Their invention ensures that 1 Liter of urine gives you 6 hours of electricity.

The system works like this:

1. Urine is put into an electrolytic cell, which separates out the hydrogen.

2. The hydrogen goes into a water filter for purification, which then gets pushed into the gas cylinder.

3. The gas cylinder pushes hydrogen into a cylinder of liquid borax, which is used to remove the moisture from the hydrogen gas.

4. This purified hydrogen gas is pushed into the generator.

'PhD holder' Dr. Olawunmi Thorpe LIVED, DIED IN REFUSE DUMP

What exactly happened to Dr. Olawunmi Thorpe, an Ogun State indigene, who died a homeless man, may never be known.

To passersby and residents, who saw Thorpe everyday in the rubbish dump beside the rail line at Fagba Bus Stop in Ifako-Ijaiye Local Government Area of Lagos State, he was a deranged man.

But what many people did not know was that Thorpe had a Bachelor and Master’s degrees in Mass Communication and a PhD in English Language.

All these information came to light when PUNCH Metro got information that the “mad man” who spoke impeccable English had died about 5pm Wednesday last week.

It took two ‘good Samaritans’, Mr. Larry Happiday and Mr. Dele Olawale, who had interest in Thorpe’s case before he died, to ensure that his body did not rot on the same rubbish dump he used as home.

When our correspondent spoke to the two men on how they knew Thorpe and their efforts at helping him before he died, Happiday said he first met the deceased about a year ago.

He said, “I began noticing him around Fagba about a year ago because I live around Fagba. One day in March, he approached me and I thought he was going to ask for money. But he did not.

“He told me it was his 58th birthday and begged me to buy him a Bible and a book, ‘The Power of Positive Thinking’.

“The first thing that struck me about him was that he wasn’t the average destitute. He spoke good English with good diction.”

Happiday said he became interested in Thorpe’s case and would stop once in a while to check up on him at the spot, adding that he later bought him the book and the Bible.

According to Happiday, he became a sort of friend to Thorpe, stopping by once in a while to give him food and ask about his background.

“He told me he was from a rich family in Abeokuta and that his father was a former Ambassador to Ethiopia. He also said he had his first and second degrees in Mass Communication and PhD in English language. But he did not say which year he got them or from which institution. However, when I stopped by one day, I met Pastor Olawale with him,” Happiday said.

Olawale explained that he first met Thorpe about four years ago. According to him too, the homeless man always asked him for a Bible.

The pastor explained that he got interested in Thorpe’s case when the man approached him one day while passing through the rail line at Fagba. He said he always asked Thorpe about his family and who could be contacted to take him away from the place.

He said, “I felt the place was not safe and he could still become something great if he got somebody to take care of him.

“He brought out a jotter containing phone numbers of some of his friends and relatives and he gave me that of a man he referred to as his uncle and head of the family – Bode Thorpe.

“I wanted to know why nobody had come to his rescue. In one of our conversations, he told me he was once a journalist. He said his father later established a community bank and made him the manager.”

According to Olawale, Thorpe told him there was a case of financial impropriety in the bank, resulting in his being jailed.

Thorpe was said to have explained that after he left jail, he had a road accident that affected his right leg.

“Since that day, Thorpe said his life took a turn for the worse. He said his family disowned him. I visited him regularly and gave him food when I could. I called the phone numbers of many of the family members he gave me, but most of them did not show any interest in him,” Olawale said.

PUNCH Metro learnt that Olawale and Happiday later teamed up to raise money from friends for Thorpe’s treatment.

It was gathered that Thorpe has children and that his mother is a retired army officer.

A trader around the spot where Thorpe lived, Biola Ajumo, told our correspondent she once saw a man visit him.

“The look on the face of the young man, who visited him, showed that he was really sad. But it seemed the man (visitor) was his son because of the striking resemblance between them. Another resident said a girl had once visited him before.

However, Happiday and Olawale, however, said Thorpe was secretive about his children. They said during their conversations, he revealed little information about his children.

“I went there on Monday, October 29 to check up on him as usual and I discovered that he was lying down and could not stand up. He was mumbling and I quickly called pastor (Olawale) because I had a feeling he may soon die,” Happiday said.

But by the time they gathered money to get him help two days later, Thorpe had died.

His body was evacuated from the spot by the Ifako Ijaiye Local Government Area authorities on Thursday after much pressure from Happiday and Olawale.

Our correspondent dialled the number of a man Thorpe referred to as his uncle.

Although the man identified himself as Bode Thorpe, he denied knowing the deceased.

“I have been getting strange calls like this. Go and find out who his relations are and stop pestering me with calls,” he said.

Man, 39 Defiles 5-Year-Old Girl

A Magistrate Court in Benin on Wednesday sentenced Mr Saturday Udoh, 39, to five years imprisonment with an option of N80, 000 fine for defiling a five-year-old girl.

Delivering judgement, Chief Magistrate
Mike Osayi held that the prosecution, led by Sergeant Shaibu Mohammed, proved its case of defilement against the convict as required by law.

The prosecution had told the court that Udoh committed the offence on May 31, at Falodun Country Home Motel, Benin, and that the one-count charge contravened Section 218 of the criminal code.

The court held that the evidence of the convict that he went to collect money from somebody at the house opposite where he worked when the incident happened was untrue.

The court also faulted the witnesses called by the convict, noting that their testimonies were conflicting.

The court further held that the proximity between the convict’s residence and his office could not rule out the possibility of the convict dashing home to commit the offence and returning to work.

The court also held that there was identification parade conducted in the house and the little girl pointed at the convict as being responsible for her defilement.

Osayi described the victim as intelligent due to her evidence in court as well as the manner she responded to questions put to her by the court during cross examination.

Consequently, the court found Udoh guilty and sentenced him accordingly.

Man Shows Up At His Own Funeral

A 41-year-old car washer shocked his family when he interrupted a funeral being held for him at his mother's home in the town of Alagoinhas in northeastern Brazil, police said Tuesday.

Police inspector Robert
Lima said by telephone that on Sunday Jose Marcos Araujo identified a body at the city morgue as being that of his brother, Gilberto. Lima said that Jose Marcos took the body to his mother's home where a wake was held.

"The confusion started when news started circulating that a car washer had been shot dead," Jose Marcos' wife, Ana Paula, told the UOL Internet news portal. "Police called my husband and told him that his brother had been killed and his body was at the morgue." Lima said the confusion was "understandable."

"The two men closely resembled each other and both worked as car washers," Lima said adding that the man whose body was in the morgue was named Genivaldo Santos Gama. He said further information on Gama was not immediately available.

A few hours before the Monday burial "a friend of Gilberto's saw him walking down the street and told him that his family was mourning him," he said. "So he went to his mother's home to let everyone know he was very much alive."

When Araujo showed up at his wake "some people fainted and others were so scared they ran away. It was a big shock," family friend Maria Menezes told the G1 online news site.

Gilberto's mother Marina Santana told reporters "I am overjoyed. What mother wouldn't be after being told that her son is dead and then sees him alive."

7 TYPES OF WOMEN EVERY MAN SHOULD DATE

I am going to give men a starting point for the type of women I feel are a good consideration to date. Men, know the goal is to have a woman u can love, cherish, hold, and make your wife. Of course what I am about to list is no guarantee of a good woman, but should be used as a foundational guide of what she can look like emotionally, spiritually, mentally,
and personality-wise.

Here are 7 types of women every man should date:

• 1. Submitted to God – If a woman is submitted to and passionate about living for God, she will be the same to you, assuming you’re a man submitted to God. There is something special about a woman who truly serves God.

• 2. A Selfless Woman – A selfless woman will understand the importance of working together, sharing, devotion, and commitment for the right reasons. Her motives will be to help make life a little better for you. She will understand that dying to self doesn't mean she does not love herself.

• 3. A Simple and Low Maintenance Woman – A low maintenance woman tends to be focused on the truly important things in life. I’ve found them to be non-clingy, very rational, and supportive. She won’t care about how much money you have or don’t have. She will like you for who you are and is not looking for what you can do for her. She accepts you freely because she is comfortable in who she is. She is more about becoming a better woman than just appearing to be a good woman.

• 4. A Woman Who Can Truly Be Your Best Friend – Friendship before love is always best before a serious relationship.

• 5. Emotionally Stable – This type of woman understands God gave her emotions and instincts to give man balance. She understands emotions are never used as a decision making tool, because emotions can lead you outside of the will of God. The devil drives us off a cliff using emotions and God gently leads us with wisdom.

• 6. A Loyal and Patient Woman – She is with you through the good and the bad. She’s there if you’re rich; she’s there if you’re poor (if you have 2 cents, 2 dollars, or 2 million dollars… makes no difference). She is right there cheering you on and helping you to be great. She will not be looking for other men, because all of her attention is with you. She will uplift, support and encourage you.

• 7. A Woman with Character – This should go without saying, but I will add this (and this type should really be the first thing you consider for any woman). She must be of a woman of good character. Without character, it will be difficult to even build a strong friendship.

Character is what we do when other people are not looking, but God always knows what we are doing (e.g. A woman who will still entertain men, giving out her number to other men, etc is not serious about a courtship leading to marriage and it speaks to her character). How she will honor and respect the relationship as you grow together when you are not around speaks volumes about her character.

Amerian University of Nigeria Becomes Only Nigerian Member of Integrity Group

AUN is set to join dozens of universities from 17 countries in the International Center for Academic Integrity (ICAI), an organization created to combat cheating, plagiarism, and academic dishonesty in higher education. Over time, its mission has expanded to include the cultivation of cultures of integrity in academic communities worldwide.
The new Associate Vice President for Institutional Planning, Assessment, and Research, Ms. Gina Cinali, spearheaded the membership, which comes just in time for ICAI’s annual conference in November at Princeton University where she will present a paper on plagiarism in democratic societies.
ICAI provides resources for faculty, students, and administrators at universities, high schools, and all institutions of learning that care about honesty, integrity, trust, respect, and responsibility as well as information on what academic dishonesty is and how faculty and students can adhere to honest practices.
“Academic integrity infraction is rampant around the world. It’s not that people are bad; they just need to get some education on what constitutes good academic practices and how they can avoid falling into the trap,” said Ms. Cinali.
“I was impressed when I showed up and saw an academic integrity code. I want to wave the AUN flag and brag about what we already have here. I want to show the world that we are instilling good values in our students,” she said. The University is undergoing re-accreditation from the National Universities Commission and is working with several associations of schools and colleges abroad to obtain international accreditation. “Accreditation is really the tip of the iceberg. Once you prove that you’re good enough, there must be continuous improvement, quality assurance, curriculum review, and the ability to review. This new membership will definitely help score us points," Ms. Cinali added.

GERMAN HIGH SCHOOL BANS HOME WORK FOR STUDENTS TO UNWIND SOCIALLY

A GERMAN high school has decided to do away with homework to help pupils unwind, school officials said.
The homework ban at Elsa-Brandstrom high school in North Rhine-Westphalia came after Germany’s high school system cut a year, making school days longer, The Local.de reported.
Head teacher at Elsa-Brandstrom, Brigitte Fontein, told the Westdeutsche Allgemeine Zeitung newspaper that generally “no child would be having their free time dominated by doing school work.” Instead, class time would be used to do more work, as the school has mostly double periods, explained Fontein. Most parents are in favour of the change. Michael von Tettau, also from the Elsa-Brandstrom, said that for students, “there is barely enough time for sport or to learn a musical instrument,” and a 44-hour working week was just too much, he added. The school will test-run the homework ban for the next two year to see how effective it is, school officials said.                   –UPI

NIGERIAN GIRL- Raped, disfigured: 2 men defile girl, slash off her lip

It was double tragedy for Ruth Simon, a 20-year-old girl who was raped and had part of her lower lip chopped off by her attackers. Ruth, who said the incident happened close to her house in Jenta Adamu area of Jos, explained that on September 23, at 11.30 pm while she was returning home, she was accosted by two men suspected to be residing i
n the area.

She said when they stopped her and started making overtures to her, she pleaded that they should let her go. But before she could get away, they grabbed and pinned her to the ground and one of them covered her mouth with his palm to prevent her from shouting while they began undressing her.

Ruth, who said she was a housemaid at the West of Mines area of Jos said she was still struggling and shouting for help as they were undressing when one of them brought out a knife and chopped off part of her lower lip.

She was wailing in pains when two of them, one after the other had sex with her and abandoned her at the spot afterwards. She later reported the incident at the ‘A’ Division Police Station and through the description she gave, one of her attackers, John Akwara, a welder was arrested, while the other man whose name was given as Ezra Dachalon was still at large. However, this had not solved her problem because Ruth had been unable to get adequate medical attention after the incident.

Her only sibling, Adigizi Simon, an OND holder of Plateau Polytechnic told Daily Sun that since the incident occurred, he had been solely responsible for his sister’s treatment. He said he was yet to get a job and had been depending on handouts from wellwishers to get treatment for his sister. Adigizi said they were natives of Nasarawa Eggon in Nasarawa State.Their father is dead while their mother works as a cleaner at the Police Children’s School in Jos. “It was because she could not afford to send both of us to school that Ruth is working as a housemaid,” Adigizi said. “Since the incident occurred, I have been unable to do anything for myself. I took her to a clinic where the lip was stitched but after some days, the stitches were removed because it developed some infections and pus was coming out of it.

Based on what people prescribed, I have been buying medicine for her to take to kill the pains. “The other boy they say is still at large lives in our area but his father is hiding him in the house. We have no means to bring in the police to arrest him when we spot him in the neighbourhood. We want the police to arrest his father because we believe if they do that, the boy will turn himself to the police.”

He said Ruth was examined after she was raped and was told she was not infected with HIV but they could not ascertain what could happen to her later. Adigizi maintained that he could not take his younger sister to a bigger hospital for treatment due to lack of fund. Meanwhile, Ruth who can no longer go to her place of work is often seen covering her mouth with a piece of rag, hoping that help would come her way, even as she urgently needs plastic surgery to put her lip back in shape.

FROM OFFICIAL DUTY TO ROMANTIC DUTY- NUDE PICTURES OF NIGERIAN TELECOMMUNICATIONS OFFICIALS LEAKED

This particular story broke a couple of years ago, but this time, the pictures supplemented the story to make it more…….
The gist then was that the man and the woman were Airtel (a Nigerian telecommunication firm now re-branded as Zain) officials and were sent on an official assignment outside the country.
Considering different views, the result of their official trip was a love story filled with loads of nude pictures that began to spread all over the web like wild fire.

BISI IBIDAPO-OBE AND DINO MELAYE PREGNANCY SAGA: WHO IS LYING

As the pregnancy broglio between Nigerian Yoruba Actor Bisi Ibidapo Obe and Dino Melaye continues, the yoruba actor has come out to bare her mind on the whole issue.
The Pregnant Yoruba actress, Bisi Ibidapo-Obe recently disclosed that she was put in the family way by former House of Reps member, Hon Dino Melaye. A friend reportedly introduced her to Hon Melaye when she needed help. The actress however disclosed that the former lawmaker who had appeared happy with the news of the pregnancy and had started talking about marriage suddenly changed gear and asked her
to abort as his church frowns at pregnant brides. "It’s painful that such action is coming from a man who claims he loves the masses, the oppressed people of this country and he is oppressing me", she said.
Hon Melaye has however denied being responsible for the pregnancy, describing the pregnancy story as an "expression of fiction" .

Bizarre: USA Professor Strips Naked in Calculus Class

Michigan State University students had an unconventional math class last week Monday after a 57 year old Mathematics professor, John McCarthy reportedly stripped naked in Calculus 1 class and began screaming that “there is no f****ing God” and “It’s all an act and none of it’s real.” In the age of laptop computers, the most surprising thing is tha
t the students noticed and looked up from their computers. Presumably one student asked the standard question of “will this be on the test?”

Witnesses said that McCarthy was going through a routine derivative equation when he started to talk about his colleagues and how “they’re all actors.” He added that “It’s all an act and none of it’s real.”

According to a freshman, Kyle Hillman who was in the Calculus class, the professor had earlier ranted some words; “Math is all about questions and answers. And Steve Jobs invented the computer, but what do computers do? They ask questions and we answer them.”

Hillman said after the professor finished swearing about God and religion, he pulled a $1 bill from his wallet, waved it a few times, then ran out of the class.

“I had to leave the class. It was pretty terrifying.”

McCarthy ranted naked down the hall of the school’s Engineering Building according to multiple witness account.

Hillman recalled McCarthy has been a little off since the beginning of the class.

“Earlier in the class on Monday, he made a mistake and said, ‘I’m sorry. I say sorry a lot. People say I say sorry too much. I should probably stop saying it’”.

Campus police placed McCarthy in protective custody and later transported him to a local hospital.

Brilliance is sometimes accompanied with mental issues; McCarthy obviously had a psychological meltdown. He was arrested but not charged with a crime. He could certainly be charged with indecent exposure but hopefully the police would show discretion and let him be.

As difficult as it would be for McCarthy to go back to the classroom, the faculty would really help and support him by treating his strip as a case of mental illness, allow him seek help, but not fire him.

Meanwhile, the school has not released any statement on how the matter would be treated, but sources say some members of the management believes the matter should be treated as a misconduct. In the meantime, the school has merely reassigned his classes and would take no further action just yet.

John McCarthy holds a bachelor’s, two master’s, and doctoral degree in Mathematics.

"Men Should Not Be Scared To Ask Me Out On Date" - Karen

Former BBA Winner, Karen Igho, has openly challenged men to ask her out saying she is certainly not a hard nut to crack when it comes to falling in love.

"I'm a woman who desires to be loved and wooed by the opposite sex. Men are supposed to woo me. I’m a woman and I’m very soft. They shouldn’t be scared of asking me out. I want a decent
man, and not any kind of man,” she said.

Karen expressed disappointment that men are not bracing up the courage to woo her, despite the fact that she is not as difficult as they think. She says she is still “single and ready to mingle”.

She also said her dream man must not only be God-fearing and comfortable but also down to earth and not necessarily a bachelor.

Hmmn... not necessarily a bachelor? Oops!!! That's a lifeline to the guys o... Where are they?

2 Nigerian students face deportation from Canada for working at Walmart

Siting inside a church, University of Regina students Victoria Ordu and Ihuoma Amadi start as a prairie wind rattles the front door.

Ordu glances over, eyes wary, before flicking toward the window at the back of the church she now calls home.

Sunshine streams through the glass, but that's the only taste of the outside world the two girls have been able to get since June 19, when they opted to seek sanctuary in the church.

The fear of being found by the Canada Border Services Agency and deported back home to Nigeria hangs over their heads - all because they worked for two weeks at Walmart.

They have spent each day hoping Canadian Federal Citizenship and Immigration Minister Jason Kenney - the only one who can change their fate - will grant them pardon.

The daily stress of it has, they say, been "hell."

U of R President Vianne Timmons has visited them at the church and the school has contacted the federal government, throwing its support behind the students' plea to stay in Canada and complete their education.

Amadi and Ordu have also written letters to Kenney, but no one has had a response.

And so, they wait.

"This is a small mistake we made, and now everything is at risk," Ordu says, clasping her shaking hands in her lap.

"It doesn't make any sense. They're looking for us like we've killed someone. We're just students at university ... but it's like we're running away and living in fear every day."

As part of their visas, international students like Ordu - who is studying theatre arts - and Amadi - international studies - are able to work on campus.

Both in Canada on full scholarships paid for by their government, Ordu and Amadi went to Service Canada and got their Social Insurance Numbers when they arrived in 2010, ending up working at the university.

Last year, Amadi found a parttime job at Walmart and Ordu at an agency that does demonstrations at the store.

Both were under the misapprehension their SINs allowed them to work outside U of R. Ordu quit after two weeks, as soon as she found out that wasn't the case.

Amadi discovered her mistake during her second week on the job - and was led away from her till in handcuffs by two CBSA agents.

"They led me through the store, in front of everyone, and all the customers were looking at me like 'What have you done?'" she recalls, looking at the floor.

"I just felt so embarrassed."

Kay Adebogun is a Regina immigration consultant who has taken on their case pro bono.

"Why go to that level of force?" he says.

"Why parade her out of there like she's a criminal?"

Barb Pollock, U of R spokeswoman, says while the school respects the fact laws have to be upheld, it is trying to advocate for a reconsideration of the girls' case.

"We think that the penalty, perhaps, is a bit severe for the crime," she says.

"Albeit that laws have been contravened, in light of what they have done to contravene the law, we would like them to have an opportunity to complete their education with us ... (and) we think it is a harsh penalty to be deported."

Pollock says the university has written to Kenney but is yet to receive an indication when it might receive a decision from the minister.

Both students say they admitted their mistake right away, but think the CBSA's decision to deport them - which went to an admissibility hearing - is an over-reaction.

"It's a huge deal to finish school, come back (to Nigeria) and help the country," Amadi says.

"Now to think we lose three years of our lives because of a small mistake? If there was a fine, a warning, that would be more reasonable. I just wish they could look at this from a human point of view."

Pollock agrees the case demonstrates how important it is for international students to understand Canadian laws.

"We have to make sure our students really understand what it means to come here and go to school - what the opportunities are and, at the same time, what the limits are," she says.

"The fact something may not have been clear, you can be assured we're making that very clear with our incoming students now."

Adebogun would like to see a reversal in the decision to deport Ordu and Amadi, but he also thinks there are bigger issues at play with how the two were treated.

Of particular concern, he says, is the fact both students were asked by CBSA workers for names of other Nigerian students who were working and even if they knew anybody in a gang.

"They agree they did something wrong, but they should have a second chance," Adebogun says.

CBSA could not provide a comment on Tuesday but is expected to provide information on the case today.

NIGERIAN SINGER LAGBAJA 'OMO BABA MUKOMUKO' UNMASKED!!!!!!!!!!!

Lagbaja with Mask

Lagbaja, the Afro-beat singer, song writer, instrumentalist that has been inspiring minds with his powerful style of music since 1993 till date finally reveals the face behind the mask.
According to Lagbaja, his mask is used as an icon of man’s facelessness. Lagbaja is a Yoruba word that means “nobody in particular”. It depicts the anonymity of the so-called “common man”. The mask and the name symbolize the faceless, the voiceless in the society, particularly in Africa. He is also known as “Omo baba mu’ko mu’ko”
Often his music is purely instrumental- an interplay between traditional Yoruba percussion, drums, chants, western instruments, and especially the saxophone. When there are lyrics, they are primarily sung in Yoruba, English or a blend of the two as is colloquially spoken in Yoruba cities. Many of his songs dwell on serious social issues, while others simply entertain.
Lagbaja is indeed handsome..

BISHOP DAVID OYEDEPO TURNS 58

Bishop David Oyedepo yesterday turned 58 years. the Man of God who is the General Overseer of Living Faith Church aka Winners Chapel.
Here is a little biography of the Man of God:
On September 27, 1954 David Olaniyi Oyedepo was born in Osogbo but is a native Omu Aran, Kwara into a religiously mixed family: his father,Ibrahim, was a Muslim healer and his mother, Dorcas, was a member of the Eternal Order of the Cherubim and Seraphim Movement (C&S), a branch of the Aladura movement in Nigeria. He was raised by his grandmother in Osogbo, who inculcated into him the virtues of Christian life via the early morning prayers which she attended with him. She also taught him the importance of tithing. David was “born again” in 1969 through the influence of his teacher, one Ms. Betty Lasher, who took special interest in him during his high school days. He studied architecture at Kwara State Polytechnic and worked briefly with the Federal Ministry of Housing in Ilorin before resigning to concentrate on missionary work. Oyedepo also gained a Ph.D in Human Development from Honolulu University, Hawaii, United States of louvain lakasi America.
Bishop David received a mandate from God through an 18 hour long vision in May 1981 to liberate the world from all oppression of the devil through the preaching of the word of faith. This is the inaugural vision that led to the founding of the Living Faith Church World Wide (LFCWW), first called Liberation Faith Hour Ministries, in 1981. Two years after, on 17 September 1983, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, ordained David and his wife, Florence Abiola Akano (now known as Faith Abiola Oyedepo) to become pastors also officially commissioned the newly started church of Oyedepo. Five years after, Oyedepo was ordained a Bishop.
Living Faith Church (AKA Winners Chapel) started in Kaduna, but moved to Lagos, the former capital of Nigeria in September 1989 to start a new branch of His Church, after receiving an instruction from God to reach out to the population in Lagos. This Church in Lagos grew to become the International headquarters of Living Faith Church, with a constantly increasing flow of crowds spilling over to adjacent roads, and on decks of uncompleted buildings nearby, compelling people to stand for hours to listen to His teachings. This led to the building of the renowned Faith Tabernacle, as instructed by God.
Oyedepo is the wealthiest preacher in Nigeria with a net worth of over USD $150 million. The church he pastors, owns four private jets and they own buildings all around the world, including London and the United States.
